Good morning. Great is His faithfulness.

"DOING THE WORK NOW"

During my video I was recalling a scripture verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:19, and at that time I couldn't remember that I what was referring to was 1 Thessalonians 5:19, I will state now what I was trying to state in the video, sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed and forget.

1Thessalonians 5:19

"Do not quench the Spirit."

This is telling us that the HOLY SPIRIT should always be active in our lives and in the life of the Church. There will always be a constant need of discernment and testing of the faith to avoid us from being misled. Not quenching the Spirit means to always listen to the voice of God, if you quench the Spirit it could lead to being misled or not accomplishing our tasks to the standards that God wants.

Ecclesiastes 11:4

He who observes the wind will not sow,

And he who regards the clouds will not reap.

I read the entire chapter it wasn't very long but this chapter here in Ecclesiastes teaches us that we are not to hold on to that which we have been given, but to give it all away.

Ecclesiastes 5:4

For a dream comes through much activity,And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.

4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it;For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed—

Do what we say we are going to do. Our word should be stronger than oak and our hearts should remain pure to follow up on our vows.

Additional readings see my video because I read from Orthodox study Bible- (Proverbs 24:10-12- talks about how evangelism rescues those being led into death, and saw off their bonds, and does not spare them help). (Proverbs 20:4- teaches us not to be lazy and work hard). Colossians 3:23 - do everything whole heartilywhen it comes to God.

"Never confuse activity with productivity."

Mark 16:9-20- more additional readings, The empty tomb,

the risen Christ appears, and the Great Commission.

QUESTION TO CONSIDER FROM DEVOTIONAL

When something needs to be done, do I see the wisdom in doing it sooner rather than later? See my video for my answers.

Is the fear of failure holding me back? We can only hold ourselves back if we allow our excuses to dictate our lives and our productivity and completing God's work.

When faced with an unpleasant job, do I act promptly, or do I increase my misery by procrastinating? See my video for this answer.

Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord [a]lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’
